Information you provide in this Registration Form, and at any other time during the Conference, will be collected and stored by the Organisers to:

• register your attendance at the Conference;
• assist with administrative and planning purposes;
• facilitate your requirements in relation to the Conference; and
• allow the compilation and analysis of statistics relevant to the Conference.

If you do not give consent for your details to be held for the above purposes, you cannot register for the Conference and you will be redirected to the Conference website. If this is the case, please contact the Data Control Officer noted below to discuss your concerns..

We ask for your personal data to facilitate your registration for the event. Your data will be shared with other organisations and third parties in order to process your registration. These will include:

Student and Concession

The junior doctor or nurse fee applies to doctors who are not undertaking a specialist training program, period of specialist assessment or a fellowship. This fee is not open to international medical graduates who have an overseas specialist qualification in neurosurgery.  

The medical student fee applies to students enrolled in a medical degree who are not yet qualified as a doctor (proof of student identification is required).

Payment Terms: Payments must be received within 14 days of invoice date.

Registrations from Commercial Entities
If you are from a commercial entity and wish to attend the NSA ASM, your registration must be connected to a commercial entity of the same name who is supporting the ASM by either a sponsorship package or exhibition booth. Your name badge will include the supporting entity's name. 

If your commercial entity has not confirmed a sponsorship package or exhibition booth please contact the Sponsorship Manager to discuss sponsorship and exhibition booth options. 

Please note standard delegate registrations of any kind will not be accepted from commercial entities if they are not supporting the conference and will not be able to attend. 

Payment
Delegates are encouraged to pay via credit card at the time of registration. Payment can be made by credit card or invoice/EFT transfer in Australian Dollars only. All early registration fees not paid in full by the due date will be converted to the standard registration fee, and all registration fees not paid in full prior to 24 hours before Meeting commencement will be cancelled. 

Cancellation policy
If notification of cancellation is made in writing to our Events Team prior to 1 July 2025, a full refund will be given (less a $175 processing fee). After this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted by giving notification of the change in writing to our Events Team. Refunds after 1 July 2025 may be issued in special circumstances at the discretion of the NSA and prior approval must be sought by contacting events@nsa.org.au. 

Liability / Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Neither the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia (NSA) nor DC Conference & Association Management (DCC&A) will accept liability for, but not limited to:

Damages of any nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, loss;
Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference or through cancellation of the Conference;
Loss of international/domestic air fares or accommodation through cancellation for any reason;Medical Expenses.
Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate and should be purchased in your country of origin. Delegates are strongly recommended to take out a suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non-refundable registration fees when you register for the Meeting and book your travel.

Force Majeure
The Organisers (NSA and DCC&A) shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the un-availability of the venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without fault or negligence. For one or more of such reasons, the Organisers of the Meeting may postpone, reschedule or cancel the event without liability on the part of the Organisers of the Meeting. In the event the Meeting cannot be held or is postponed pursuant to this section, the Organisers of the Meeting shall not be liable to attendee for any direct, consequential or incidental damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.

Photography
In registering for NSA-managed events and conferences, delegates grant permission to NSA, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs containing their image/likeness. It is understood these images may be used for promotional news, online/multimedia, research and/or educational purposes by and for NSA.

Delegates agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from NSA in respect of their image/likeness or its use. Delegates release, discharge, and hold harmless, NSA and its agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video.

By registering to attend the Meeting, you give your consent to be photographed and filmed. If you do not consent your registration will be withdrawn.
